Steve Marsh (1964-1996)
We are very sad to announce that our dear friend Steve Marsh, 32, passed away on August 19th. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in June and fought hard against this incurable disease. The cancer growth was enormous, taking Steve's life within a few months. We were blessed to have known him, and to have had the opportunity to work with him.
Long before joining One Hundred Days, Steve was a member of the Canadian band Elim Hall, along with Glen and Ross Teeple. They released two albums, Things Break and Let It Thrive. They toured the US with Michael W. Smith in 1986, and have many loyal fans throughout North America.
Steve's memorial service and burial took place August 21, 1996. We ask you to pray for Steve's wife Julie, who has obviously been devastated by the untimely death of her husband. If you want to express your support for Julie or your appreciation for Steve's life and music, leave a comment at the Steve Marsh Memorial Guestbook.
Steve's life ended very quickly, but his influence on the lives of his family and friends will be felt for a lifetime. He will be greatly missed...
Steve said it best...
"For the work is done, I've been set free, Your gift is my salvation's key, As your love falls down my voice will sing, for I know... You are King. And your love goes on and on, You're love is continuing on and on, On and on..." ("At The Falls," lyrics by Steve Marsh)
